We got the coolest surprise when we got to Corpus Christi - the USS Lexington. Chris and I had always wanted to tour an aircraft carrier! That by far, was the coolest thing I have ever seen. Well.....besides the mountains in Colorado. But it was definitely a close second. We were on that carrier over two hours and still didn't see everything! You also came to appreciate those that served and continue to serve on these carriers and submarines. I don't know how they do it. The quarters are so cramped. And how they keep from getting lost - I will never know. That place was like a maze!
Chris' grandfather, Ben Collinsworth, served in the Navy and worked in the postal division on his ship. We miss you Papaw Ben (11-9-1925 / 8-18-2006).
I had to put this picture on the blog simply because of Ty's stance. For those of you who don't know - this is a classic Collinsworth stance. If you watch closely, you are almost guaranteed to see a Collinsworth man standing this way!
Spring is finally here!!! The boys have been so ready to go outside and play. So have their parents! Miley has enjoyed having their company again too. She has to be the smartest dog in the world. I can't even begin to explain some of the things she has done! I couldn't resist putting her latest pic on here. Isn't she cute?!!
We were able to attend the last ASU home basketball game for the season. It was the last night to play at home as the Indians. I don't agree with changing our mascot. But hey, they didn't ask me! So I guess we have no choice but to get used to saying "Go Red Wolves!". Whatever.......
The boys enjoyed our first snow of the year. This was in February. So as you can see I am a little behind on updating our blog page. To be honest, I don't know who loved it more. The boys or Miley. Everytime the boys would walk the snow made a crunching noise under their rubber boats which just fascinated Miley. She would try to bite their feet when they walked. I have a picture posted of her doing that to Christopher.
